Presentation of Our Lord Church

The Presentation of Our Lord Church is named for the day when Joseph and Mary brought Our Lord to the Temple on the fortieth day of His earthly life.  Presentation is the first and oldest Orthodox parish in the Akron and Summit County area.  We were founded in 1914 on Akron’s south side, and Fairlawn became our home in 1972.Our community was begun by Orthodox immigrants from what is now Romania, although today our parishioners represent ethnic origins from four continents.  We’re a warm, friendl...
